Celebration of 5-year anniversary.
Airyx is a high‑tech company founded as a spin‑off from Heidelberg University. Moreover, our team brings together environmental physicists and engineers with extensive experience in designing and operating advanced measurement systems. This combination of academic expertise and practical fieldwork actively shapes everything we build.
Before founding Airyx, our team designed and deployed measurement systems based on Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) in a wide range of real‑world environments. For example, we operated instruments at industrial sites, on mobile platforms and during complex scientific field campaigns. Consequently, the insights we gained during these deployments directly influence today’s instrument design and engineering philosophy.

As a result, every Airyx system delivers high‑precision data under demanding field conditions. Additionally, we place strong emphasis on mechanical robustness, temperature stability and low‑drift optical design. We also engineer our systems for low maintenance and long‑term efficiency, which significantly reduces operating costs for our customers.
Our guiding principle is straightforward: instruments must perform as reliably in the field as they do in the laboratory. Therefore, we integrate temperature‑stabilised optical components, long‑term‑stable reference systems and automated correction routines into every Airyx analyser. This approach ensures that environmental variations, such as fluctuating temperature or humidity, do not compromise measurement quality.
Furthermore, we apply the same high standards internally that regulators, researchers and industrial operators demand from their own data. Consequently, our customers can rely on their measurements with full confidence—whether they use them for compliance, process optimisation or scientific research.
Environmental agencies, research partners and industrial operators worldwide rely on Airyx instruments because they deliver dependable data in challenging conditions. In particular, our customers work with complex processes and strict reporting obligations. Therefore, they require measurement systems that perform consistently and accurately. We design our instruments to meet these expectations and to ensure that our customers can maintain the same high standards in their own operations.
