Most NH₃ instruments struggle with sticky inlets, slow passive samplers and cross interferences – our Airyx NH₃ Open Path Compact system breaks these limitations by measuring directly in the open air, over path lengths up to 150 m. This enables truly representative, high resolution NH₃ data exactly where emissions occur, from fields and barns to industrial sites and fence lines.

Airyx Delivers First SKYSPEC System to Bulgaria! 🇧 Airyx Delivers First SKYSPEC System to Bulgaria! 🇧🇬
We’re excited to announce that Airyx has provided its first SKYSPEC measurement system to Bulgaria, marking an important milestone for atmospheric research in the region!
The first installation and training were successfully completed by the Airyx team in close collaboration with our valued local distributor Ivan from StaboTech — whose excellent support and expertise were key to this achievement.
The system will be operated by the University of Plovdiv, enabling Bulgaria’s first MAX-DOAS measurements of critical atmospheric trace gases such as NO₂, SO₂, HCHO, O₃, Glyoxal, and aerosols, among others.
We’re proud to see SKYSPEC contributing to cutting-edge air pollution research and environmental monitoring in Bulgaria — and we look forward to many exciting scientific results to come!

This is our publication and our technology — showcasing the real-world performance of our Plume Chasing measurement system, developed specifically for on-road emission detection of heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs).
🚛💨 Our system was used in multiple European countries between 2016 and 2023, measuring nearly 5,000 HDVs for NOx, with solid particle number (PN) and black carbon (BC) emissions measured for over 1100 vehicles.
🛠️ Key capabilities of our Plume Chasing solution:
Real-time, on-road emission measurements
Automatic classification of suspect and high emitters within seconds
Seamless support for on-site enforcement actions
Proven accuracy and reliability, confirmed through vehicle inspections by authorities
📊 Proven impact:
In Czechia and Slovakia Plume Chasing flagged up to 41% of HDVs as high emitters.
Follow-up inspections revealed tampering, defects, or malfunctioning emission systems.
Just 4–14% of the worst vehicles cause over 50% of particle pollution in HDV fleets.
Countries with strong enforcement and regular use of our technology (like Denmark) showed dramatic improvements in fleet cleanliness.
