Airyx OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 Open Path Ammonia Analyzer
Contact‑free NH₃ monitoring over 20–150 m open paths.
Description
The Airyx OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 is an open path ammonia analyzer for contact‑free NH₃ monitoring. It measures along a free air beam over distances from 20 to 150 meters. As a result, it avoids sampling line losses and provides stable, path‑averaged concentration data.
Multi‑Path Operation
In addition, the system supports multi‑path operation. A motorized telescope head can redirect the beam between different retroreflectors. This enables spatially resolved ammonia measurements for agriculture, fence‑line monitoring and environmental air‑quality studies.
Furthermore, remote alignment shortens setup time. Consequently, operators can perform field tasks more efficiently. Therefore, the OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 delivers reliable performance in real‑world conditions.
UV DOAS Technology
The OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 uses UV DOAS with a stable deuterium lamp. In addition, the temperature‑stabilized spectrometer ensures long‑term stability. As a long‑path DOAS instrument, it eliminates sampling lines and minimizes NH₃ surface losses.
Key Features
Accurate gas detection
The OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 measures NH₃, NO and SO₂ using UV DOAS. In addition, the open‑path design avoids sampling artefacts and ensures representative concentration data.
Compact and flexible operation
One analyzer can monitor several measurement paths through motorized beam routing. As a result, the system adapts well to different field setups and test layouts.
Rugged and mobile
The IP64 enclosure includes heating and dew‑point monitoring. Consequently, the analyzer performs reliably in challenging outdoor environments.
Fast and simple deployment
Motorized self‑alignment enables quick setup. Furthermore, only minimal on‑site adjustments are required.
Calibration‑free technology
UV DOAS does not require calibration gas bottles and shows no long‑term drift. Therefore, operational cost and maintenance remain low.
Applications
The OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 open path ammonia analyzer supports a wide range of real‑world applications. In many cases, it improves measurement quality and reduces installation effort. For example, it is used in the following areas:
- Air‑quality and workplace‑safety monitoring around ammonia sources
- Agricultural NH₃ emission monitoring from barns, manure storage and fields
- Industrial emission and process monitoring for NH₃ and related gases
- Fence‑line monitoring at industrial or agricultural facilities
- Spatial NH₃ mapping over open paths up to 150 m
- Real‑time ammonia concentration measurement in dynamic outdoor environments
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an open path ammonia analyzer?
An open path ammonia analyzer measures NH₃ along a free air path between the instrument and a reflector. This contact‑free method avoids sampling losses. As a result, it provides representative average concentrations over distances from 20 to 150 meters.
Which gases can the OPC‑UV3‑DL‑301 detect?
It primarily measures NH₃ and can also detect NO and SO₂ using UV DOAS technology. Consequently, the system supports multiple gas‑related applications.
Where is the system used?
Typical applications include agricultural ammonia monitoring, fence‑line measurements, industrial emission control and environmental research. In addition, it is suitable for long‑term field campaigns.
Does the analyzer require calibration gases?
No. DOAS technology is calibration‑free and does not require calibration gas cylinders. Therefore, operation becomes simpler and long‑term cost is reduced.
What distances can it cover?
The system supports open‑path measurements between 20 and 150 meters. Furthermore, it maintains accurate alignment using a motorized telescope head and retroreflector setup.
